The Negative And Positive Effects Of Immigration Across The World

Effects of immigration are felt in every country in the world.It Involves the movement of residents from their country to a foreign country. Reasons for these movements of people from their homeland to foreign countries are many. These movements may be as a result of conflicts or escaping from prosecutions and fear of attack among other things. But others may move from their country willingly to an alien nation in search of an improved way of living.Even Though movements may be crucial, sometimes it may be a source of many unforeseen challenges. Perceiving immigration at a different angle, it can be a brave move. Immigration can both be advantageous and disadvantageous to the host country and the origin country. In several occasions, the level of development and is industrialization is high.This therefore make them receive a massive number of immigrants.

They benefit in many ways such from these immigrants in various ways as illustrated below. There are jobs which the host citizens can’t or won’t do, therefore immigrants do them. From this, high taxes are collected. Also, the immigrant works for more extended hours and their salaries might not be not as high as the citizen would demand which is a benefit to the host country also.

Making immigrants to feel at home and appreciated, they add value as they bring different cultures to the society which is crucial to promote adherence and understanding. There will be strong relationships between nations that will be created. There may be available talents from the immigrants if they are from a country with advanced education systems.

However, there are also adverse effects of this immigration especially to the host country. If not appropriately managed several challenges can arise from immigration.

One of the challenges may be deteriorated security which may be brought by having different people from different countries and cultural practices.This can be attributed to the unemployment and crime.

If not appropriately managed, diseases may be spread by immigrants. Thus, this call for people to be regularly checked for diseases and verified to avoid further spreading. Thus, there should be checkpoints for diseases examinations to the immigrants before they enter a country.

Another issue is having an increased population of a host country and a decrease in the origin country. This can jeopardize economies of both countries in different ways. An increased population is a threat to a country as it can lead to a rise of refugee camps which pose a threat to the environment.

There may be brain drain as a result of moving to other countries. Moving to foreign countries can drain talents in one and result be a bad economic environment.
